Marilyn Bachorik sent today's photos of the American Mariner pulling into the Munising dock, along with the following info about them:

My husband Dennis looked out the bedroom window and saw the American Mariner had pulled into town to dock at the paper mill. This is only one more reason we're SO happy we moved to Munising.
The first photo is the view of it pulling in, from our bedroom window. We love Munising's hills and how they frame the Mariner when it's docked there and she's tucked right into the little harbor at Bayshore Park.
I just missed a shot of the guys waving to me, but managed to get them hard at work.

The last photo is the Mariner making her way out of town, just cruising past Grand Island on her way out to the open waters of Lake Superior.
Sure looks like Marilyn and Dennis have the perfect spot for boat watching!

Nothing like having a front row seat to watch the GL freighters!

Nice shots and a nice area. Years ago when we vacationed on Sand Lake (south of Munising), I remember one of our first stops was the Red Owl grocery store.

Marilyn's home definitely has location, location, location! Awesome pictures!

Nice pictures today. I love the freighters on the great lakes. You live in a great boat watching spot.
Janie T.----Nice horse pic in your profile today. Reminds me of an Arabian facially. Or are my eyes all a kilter this morning?

Dealer is beautiful, Janie! Love the silver on his bridle.

Thank You. Dealer is a registered Pony of America. They are a breed of ponies 46 in. to 56 in. with Appaloosa traits. Dealer is an amazing young colt.

Great pics! There is something so fascinating about
the big ships!

I've passed the harbor in Munising many times, but have only seen
a laker there once or maybe twice. Maybe this weekend when we
go to watch our daughter run the Grand Island Marathon--her very
first marathon. At least we know we'll see the ferry to Grand Island.
