Here in the Keweenaw, the temperatures have been quite frigid the past few days, so everyone has to bundle up to keep the chill out. Fortunately, for critters like these horses and miniature donkeys, their furry coats grow thicker to help them stay warmer in the winter, but their owner, Amanda Cadwell also provides them with a barn and even some blankets to strap on so they're nice and cozy.

The horses in the top photo, have been part of the Cadwell Critters for awhile now, but the donkeys in Amanda's photos are recent additions to their farm family. She says they're really quite smart and very sweet and of course we can all see how cute they are. I wonder if the other animals held a barn dance to welcome them? ;->

If these were mine I'd be looking for a place to put them in my house. That being the reason my husband never wanted me to have a horse.:<

Being a critter lover-i so enjoyed todays photos. The miniature donkeys are soooooo CUTE!!!!We had a pygmy goat at one time and that little critter was also very lovable and full of personality. Yes-there are many great pets besides dogs and cats.
