Good morning from Mishawaka IN. Great Blast from the past picture. A couple of mornings I have felt like he looks.

We notice that the "snowbirds" have peculiar problems with Groundhog Day outside their home territory!

P&G, TN:
That "Phoenix Phil" must be a latecomer — the only "Phoenix Phil" we have is
"Phil Gordon" — current Mayor of Phoenix. That fictitious "Senator John Dumbreak" had it wrong, it wasn't "Randy the Rattlesnake" at all. Us old timers have relied for over thirty years instead on the weather prognostications of Agua Fria Freddy, whose legend is noted here by Ed Phillips, local weatherman.

Sur5er...not much activity today on What's UP page. Your second suggestion worked like a charm. Thank you. Wonderful shots. Miss Bailey looks like she could rival Queen Elizabeth for regality in her car seat! But in that other picture (with party hat) she looks like she may have overdone the "party business" just a bit. :) And you're right, Miss Abbi is a doll. They both look like gentle "old souls". Sweet faces. I see you've spent some time in my neck of the woods...Tahquamenon Falls and Whitefish Point. Have been going there since I was about 4 or 5. The falls used to be more fun. Not as safe, but more fun. Used to be able to climb down the gorge and walk (climb) around by the water. Got to go behind the falls as well...very exciting for a youngster. They always felt like my back yard....not I'm just very magnanimous, letting all those strangers tramp through my property....but then, Mom and Dad always taught me to share! ;) And the Point is a great place to clear all the cobwebs from the mind. The stormier the better! Well, I need to get back to work. This is making me homesick! Thanks again for sharing the pictures.

Susan,

I get so homesick too, when I look at my UP pics. Hubby has promised me a camping trip to the UP this summer, so I do have something to look forward to in a couple of months.

Yes, the Taquamenon Falls are our second stop once we cross over the Mighty Mac (Big Boys in St. Ignace being our first stop), each time we go to the UP.

Whitefish Point is so tranquil...not that many tourists, because it is off the beaten path.

I used to take my daughter up to the UP/Falls at the end of April or beginning of May each year...that way we avoided the hordes of tourists that transend upon the UP in the summer.

Glad you enjoyed the pics of the doggies.
