Good Afternoon everyone! 18 degrees in Houghton.
I'll spend this afternoon writing out Christmas
cards. I'm actually ahead this year. All the Christmas shopping is done, ready to wrap. Tree
was up a week ago. I have more of an interest in Christmas this year. Hubby & I have a lot to be thankful for. A wonderful daughter AND son-in-law. Have a great day, everybody!

You're way ahead of me, but that's ok. I've just
started on my Christmas cards. There are
some greens arranged around the house and
tonight we'll light the third Advent candle and
open the 11th window of the Advent calendar.
Next weekend is reserved for chopping and
decorating the tree and doing the Christmas
baking.

Like you, Grace, I'm glad Christmas is coming
and am grateful for my wonderful family.
Knowing how excited I am to have my adult
children around for Christmas, it suddenly
makes me wonder if my parents were just as
excited when I came home. Maybe you have
to be middle aged to have that kind of
perspective....?

Hi sur5er, you got a new adress, or is that not your mail I received (FWD: bird flu symptoms)?
However, don't get panicky. People over here emptied the shells of one flu medication, the company producing it is raking in the money, expanding production, and most likely the stuff won't work, anyway.
There's even people taking it in advance, achieving nothing else but allowing the virus to become resistant. Good job.

Kosk, you sound like you get into the true 'spirit' of Christmas...which is so rare nowadays. I am trying to get my step children to understand the real meaning of Christmas (rolling my eyes).
