Ra - As they say, "The early bird gets the worm". Enjoy your "Early Bird" award.

Captain Ben Kilpela -

In the notes to the picture above you say it was your first Isle Royale crossing - how many are you up to now?

A last note to yesterdays conversation on camelids. Michigan is home to the Michigan Lama Association which is about 175 farms strong and now ten years old!

Sur5er, you surely did see llama farms in Monroe county. There are several. It is good to hear they are establishing in the UP. Wish mine was there also.
Happy humming all (that is the sound a llama makes)!

Good morning. Nice day here but I know by afternoon it will be pretty warm.

We will be in Copper Harbor in 23 days. Any pictures or schedules for the new boat for the Sunset Cruise out of Copper Harbor? Also where is the picture of the headstone with the spotted fawn? I have it as my screensaver at work but I wanted to show my grandson and now I can't find it.

I will be in the UP (staying in Silver City, but traveling to Copper Harbor) from July 5th through 12th. I also would like information on the Sunset Cruise to the lighthouse in Copper Harbor. Does anyone have information about any events in the area during that time? I believe there is a Strawberry Festival, but anything else? I'd appreciate the information. I love your website and cannot get enough of Sharon's view of Brockway Mountain. Thanks.

The early bird may get the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese.

I know it is late in the day, but I had to share my excitement
upon opening my issue this week of SI. Toward the back there
is a wonderful ten page story about the U.P.'s premier coaches,
Izzo and Mariucci. I would imagine Iron Mountain is swelling
with pride right now. That is so cool to have these two guys
from the same town and being the same age doing so well as
coaches.

Suzanne, if you go to the Eagle Harbor web site George has a picture of the fawn on the home page.
