Mornin', we didn't get hit by a tornado, but did get the hail--no damage this year. Keeping you in positive thoughts, Sharon. Everymorning when I watch the view from your deck, I mentally bless you with my heart.

By sur5er on Friday, May 13, 2005 - 10:45 am:

Sharon, I cried when I read your post last night. Sending you nothing but positive thoughts for the biopsy. As everyone here has said, hopefully it will be nothing and soon you will be home in Copper Harbor. (((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))

By Cheryl, Oak Lawn, IL on Friday, May 13, 2005 - 11:40 am:

Sharon, May the caring and concern of all of us who care about you wrap itself around you and bring you a sense of peace and comfort. On yesterdays cam at 5:10PM a small ray of light hit the post on your deck and was caught by the camera. I took that as a good sign, a ray of hope and I still do. You're in my thoughts and prayers for a good outcome.

By maijaMI on Friday, May 13, 2005 - 11:50 am:

Where's George ?

Curious as if any Harborites or anyone has any info on GEORGE from George's Eagle Harbor Web...
http://www.eagleharborweb.net
I've noticed his site hasn't been updated in a while.

By SUZANNE/ WISCONSIN on Friday, May 13, 2005 - 02:23 pm:

Any update on the smoke seen from Sharon's cam yesterday. Looks like a fire that was smoking for quite a while.

By Troll in Eagle Harbor on Friday, May 13, 2005 - 02:36 pm:

George is home and doin fine...I saw him get out of his vehicle while I was enjoying my first beach fire last nite.

By julie b., MI on Friday, May 13, 2005 - 03:52 pm:

I noticed that about the smoke too and wondered what was going on......

By Larry Miles on Friday, May 13, 2005 - 04:31 pm:

Referring back to Wednesday's Big Mac pictures. I always pick on my wife for her picture taking ability(or lack thereof). However on our recent first trip to the U.P. , she took this shot on 4/21. Thought it was great and told her I'd get it posted on your site. Thanks!

Larry; Great picture your wife took of the Mighty
Mac. Praying for Sharon. Hope all goes well for
you. We had thunderstorms and lots of rain here
in lower Michigan today.

By Jim, Texas on Friday, May 13, 2005 - 06:30 pm:

Could that smoke in the Harbor have been just someone warming up with a nice toasty fire in their house or cabin?

By gw-houghton on Friday, May 13, 2005 - 06:36 pm:

LARRY MILES-wonderful picture of the Mackinac Bridge.

By Suzanne/Wisconsin on Friday, May 13, 2005 - 08:07 pm:

The smoke is pretty big at 2:55 on the 12th. I doubt that is is a campfire. Not when you can see it that big from across the harbor from Sharon's house.

By Mark in Copper Harbor on Friday, May 13, 2005 - 10:18 pm:

Regarding the smoke seen on Sharon's webcam. I live in Copper Harbor and saw first-hand where the offending smoke was coming from. A local resident, who shall remain anonymous , is removing trees from her property and having the tree stumps burnt. With all of the rain we have been having in the Keweenaw, it must have seemed like an ideal opportunity to burn them with little chance of starting a brush fire. Must say that it did create ALOT of smoke however.

By sur5er on Saturday, May 14, 2005 - 12:48 am:

Thanks Mark for the info...I was hoping that it was nothing more than a controlled burn by someone or the DNR.

By on Saturday, May 14, 2005 - 12:55 am:

Sharon, my prayers and best wishes also that all will be well. I'm waiting to have you over for dinner here in Sedar Bay soon. Alecks is waiting to meet you. AČ

By Karen... on Saturday, May 14, 2005 - 05:14 am:

downstate don, hope you have a wonderful trip north in a couple of weeks. I certainly hope you have great weather for the trip. Watch that Holiday traffic too.

By Karen... on Saturday, May 14, 2005 - 05:17 am:

We used to get the weather update and temp on the main page. What happened? It was nice to check in once in a while to compare.

By Suzanne/Wisconsin on Saturday, May 14, 2005 - 06:53 am:

Good Morning-Thanks for the update on the smoke. I didn't want to think that there was a landmark of Copper Harbor burning up.
