Happy Sunday morning! Thanks to all who are sending pictures of Dad - from both the early years and later years - to include in our Father's Day Cameo next week. I grabbed a couple of fine examples of this 'before and after' effect, as the years changed the kids as well as their Dad. The first pair comes from Patti Vickers, a fun shot by the lake shore, and Dad Moyle years later back to the beach with his girls. The second sample provided by Deb Simons compares a young father circling the wagons, then the kids all grown up.

Patti and Deb are a couple of Pasty Camwatchers who have posted from time-to-time on these pages. But according to our logs, for every one individual who comments on Cam Notes, there are almost a thousand more who visit the site on a regular basis, to see Day-in-History, enter the monthly contest, read the weekly Shoebox Memories, or even order pasties. If you are among this silent gathering of U.P.-connected folks, please consider scanning an old photo of your Dad to honor him in next week's Father's Day Pasty Cameo (something else people stop by pasty.com to see). Nice idea, Charlie! Thanks so much for including my dad like this. I miss him so much. I visited his grave 3 times in the 3 days I've been up here. It's nice to be able to go out there and talk to him.

Charlie replies... There was an added bonus among the shots Deb sent for the Cameo next week: a picture taken on the same day as the last one above, this time with Mr. Deb himself.

I agree with Deb....this is a wonderful idea! Deb, I understand all too well about missing your dad. I always thought my dad would live forever, he was the best!
