Krista Chamberlain was busy snapping pictures of the kids in her daycare, as they had arts and crafts time. I think she was staying behind the camera, so she didn’t have to get to close to the bugs they were building. Instead, she put her hubby in the thick of the bug-making, while she documented the creative time. That’s quite a good looking bunch of caterpillars those little artists ended up with. What a fun project for the kids, especially now that the weather is warming and they can go outside and observe the real critters as they crawl about UP North again. Keweenaw, kids and fuzzy crawly things = fun learning time.

Looks like hubby is having a pretty good time. Maybe they should offer adult classes :)

What a great daycare! That's the way it should be.

Arts and crafts with the kids are the best ... and those colorful aprons are a great idea, too! :)

My mom use to make mice out of those egg cartons. She would paint them grey and then make outfits for them. She has Bill dressed up with a tool belt and an engineers cap and I am dressed up in a red polka-dot outfit and braids. I still have them.

Looking at the kids creations in that last picture reminds of the bookworm in the Detroit Thanksgiving Day Parade. They are so cute.

In the second picture with the little guy on the right, it looks like he might have decided to give himself a haircut at some point. (Haven't we all done that?) Those caterpillars aren't very fuzzy so it looks like it will be a mild winter. ;-)
