I'm not sure if Nate Alwine and his cat were out working in the U.P. Northwoods or just out for stroll, but no matter the purpose, it sure turned out to be a scenic adventure for the two of them. With the chainsaw in the picture, I'm guessing this may have even been an outing to find a Christmas tree. How fun to have kitty tagging along and discovering the sights from this scenic overlook so high above everything around. Just be careful so close to the edge there kitty!

The tree will be CAT APPROVED!!

How do we know it's not the kitty using the chainsaw, just waiting for it's capters to come out; sort of like a "Yooper Chainsaw Massacre"?? J

Cute kitty, and just enough snow to make the outside world a pretty place to enjoy.

Kitty's tail is all frizzed out, wonder what has it's attention?

When I had my first job as a teenager, my cat walked with me in the morning to the bus stop and waited til I got on the bus. As the bus took off he would run around the corner home.

HOW ABOUT THIS. A CAT-SCAN. LOOKS LIKE HE IS SCANNING THE SCENERY..LOL

or there maybe a lab down below and he's waiting for the lab work results....

Hi
Could that be a polar cat?

The grass and my driveway by my house near Dexter had about an inch of snow this morning but as I drove further east to get to work it went back to dead grass.

Awwww! Nate, I love your 'catty'! Can't figure out if it's just black and white, or do I see a bit of brown on it's head? If it's tri-colored then it would be a girl kitty, right? Anyway, he/she looks to be a good hunter.:>

By Richard L. Barclay (Notroll) on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 - 09:52 am:

I do believe that cat is hunting the kids in the second photo, probably as a Fierce Puma! Or perhaps there is a partridge in the oak tree down below, in which case it could scale back to a Hungry Bobcat and use the chainsaw?

Boy, I am thinking that the chain saw massacre thing would be a "Cat-agory"? And if that kitty gets thirsty would it need a "cat-atonic"? Or if it needs to build a fire to stay warm it may need a cat-alog... Okay, sorry...

The comments section has gone to the dogs. All these cat puns are going to make me hack up a hairball.

I'd cat-egorically recommend voting for our projects. I'm able to get a vote an hour in if I remember. Got 3 votes so far this morning. Go team!

That is Miles the cat. He is unfortunately no longer with us--but he was a very good friend of mine and I do miss him quite a bit. So this picture was a wonderful surprise today. This picture is a few years old, but I remember that day well. We were clearing a hiking trail around our property. An oak had fallen across the trail and I was cleaning it up. Since that day we've had 2 kids and still have our other 3 pets (Toby, Chez, and Mrs. Beasley) so its been a full and wonderful few years.--Thanks Mary for giving me something else to smile about today!

I used to feed the pigeons at the park and I fed a few to a cat that looked just like this one.

Nat, I knew these were your photos. I remember the great view from our hike around your property(no snow then)when we visited. Hope you and the family have a great holiday.
