I love that litle white church in Phoenix :O)))

By Michael Du Long (Mikie) on Monday, October 13, 2008 - 11:10 am:

Today would have been my moms 97 birthday. She has been gone for nine years. All tho I am now an old man, I still wish she was here to pat me on the head and tell me she loves me. Just like she did when I was a kid. My brother, the smartest man in the world, his description not mine. Calls me a mama's boy, a name I wear proudly.

By Marsha, Genesee/Aura (Marsha) on Monday, October 13, 2008 - 11:49 am:

Just got back from Aura last night, and I SAW A MOOSE while up there! After all these years of being sent to the swamps in Covington where everyone said they ALWAYS see moose (and I never did). I followed it right down the lane and got a good video, but not-so-good still shots. He was a huge, very black, bull moose. Since I wasn't expecting to see a moose, I thought it was a horse at first!

Also got lots of video and stills of eagles on the way to Mt. Arvon. The colors were glorious, and the weather was, too!

Good Afternoon. It is beautiful out today. Marsha, congratulations. I saw my first in June & he was huge.

By Tom (Tom) on Monday, October 13, 2008 - 12:35 pm:

some of you people must be on the mid-night shift to get the early bird so early.
Steve Verbanac, where are?

By kay Moore (Mskatie) on Monday, October 13, 2008 - 12:36 pm:

That moonlite scene of Dan's is one of my favorite's of his. Such great photos to remember that wonderful artist! Can't really say any of his was not top notch. Such a loss but I wonder what great photos he's getting in the next world?! But then how can any view of fall especially in the U.P. could be less than extraordinary heh?.Happy birthday Mikie's mom. You raised a fine son and I'm proud to call him friend.

It also helps to be located three time zones to the west! (2:30 AM EDT = 11:30PM MST). I don't even try for the bird much anymore, seems almost like cheatin'!

Mikie must be a friend of yours.

By Michael Du Long (Mikie) on Monday, October 13, 2008 - 04:36 pm:

MM, Mr Nash and I have never met. I would be proud to call him a friend though. Just found out that the problem with my thumb and hand is caused by typing and using the remote control. Oh what will I do if I can't use the remote, or type, or play solitaire on the computer. The quack wants to operate on my hand. No way, or at least till it hurts so much I can't do any thing.

Hats off to the Houghton Police Dept for acting quickly to tranquilize and save the sheep running around town!

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 - 07:25 am:

Hmmm, wonder which frat house the sheep escaped from??? :P

By Danbury (Danbury) on Monday, October 27, 2008 - 11:53 am:

The only tupperparty I ever attended was exclusively attended by ... men.
