Now if this doesn't look like the perfect spot to have a picnic, I don't know what does. Pete Sidwell seems to have stumbled upon this Eagle River beach location before anyone else has arrived, so it looks like the picnic table will be his for the day. If the white capped waves rushing into shore are any indication, I'd say there won't be much in the line of bug activity, as there seems to be an offshore breeze coming in. That will hopefully keep the pests away. Superior, take me away!

The caption on the Pasty Cam page refers to the Lake as "Gitche Gumee", but to thousands of people who have visited Eagle River since 1930, these two words are synonymous with the Bible Camp located there these past 78 years. Our family loved the camp and the town so much, we moved here to live full time in 1988.

Yesterday Gitche Gumee's final family camp for the season came to an end, and the staff is already preparing for Fall activities, including the Ladies Retreat and "Senior Saints" weeks.
