Hey R.D.! This is probably the latest you have been the earlist!!!!

Thats my daughter/son-in-law with Oakley and Astro taken 8 years ago. They just came back from 2 weeks at McLain along with the grandchildren Matthew and Katie (and the dogs).

Carole..your daughter's dogs are beautiful! They look to big to be Beagles, are they Foxhounds?

Janie, the dogs are Harriers and Astro is the father to Oakley(with green life jacket). Astro is now 14 and old age has set in and some days he does not do well. He also is going deaf, but don't open a bag of anything or the refrigerator because he can hear that. Oakley on the other hand is still a handful at 10 and both still get into a lot of trouble, especially when it comes to food.

Harriers, they are beautiful! Perhaps Astro just has "select hearing" (ha!) Thanks for the info!

I love the picture with the dogs. I especially like the picture of Oakley, the dog with the life jacket, so that people can get an idea what we were talking about earlier this summer. :-) As for selective hearing, some people have it, so why not dogs? My mom always said that my grandpa (my dad's dad) had selective hearing, and my husband's family is the same thing. When you don't want them to hear something, they hear it, and when do you want them to hear it, they "didn't hear you". :-)

Stopped at the Hut Saturday. Had the best pasty ever, (sorry Mom)...... The place looked immaculate and the help friendly. Very important when serving food. As Gen. Mac. once said, "I will be back"........
