A couple of moose on Isle Royale were spotted a 8 years ago on the Pasty Cam.

Remember you're invited, this evening at the Hut, beginning at 7pm we'll have a presentation about Pasty Central, and some samples for you to enjoy. It's all part of the celebration of Smithsonian Institute's Key Ingredients expo now in Calumet.

By Tom Karjala (Tom) on Monday, July 30, 2007 - 08:14 am:

Good Morning from Des Moines, IA. On our way to camp in Rocky Mountain National Park----near Estes Park.
Nice morning here as we eat breakfast with an Iowa sunrise.

By Marsha, Genesee/Aura (Marsha) on Monday, July 30, 2007 - 08:48 am:

It'll be in the 90's here in the Flint area all week. The bad news is we're helping my daughter's family move this week in the heat. The good news is they have a new home, it's not raining, and there are nice breezes through their house. I think the good wins out!

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Monday, July 30, 2007 - 08:49 am:

Mornin from Eastern Iowa! It's going to be a limpy few days here for me, lost my footing yesterday and sprained both ankles, I was sober too!

By s. dearing (Geebeed) on Monday, July 30, 2007 - 08:56 am:

Good Morning!

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Monday, July 30, 2007 - 08:57 am:

I hope your ankles recover soon, Janie! It's amazing what we can do to injure ourselves when we are sober!

By JH (Thumbgardener) on Monday, July 30, 2007 - 09:09 am:

Janie, ouch! Both ankles. I hope it doesn't take long to heal. Maybe all of the recent pastycammer accident victims should have get together:)

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Monday, July 30, 2007 - 09:22 am:

I can't say that the bumps and bruises that seem to be going around here are good...but at least I have been in good company with the other cammers!

By Paul Oesterle (Paulwebbtroll) on Monday, July 30, 2007 - 09:24 am:

This place is beginning to sound like a MASH unit!!! Hope you are all doing better,

By Michael Du Long (Mikie) on Monday, July 30, 2007 - 10:51 am:

hello from bright and blue Berkley. Daughter Dani Ozanich and I are going to start building a mamouth sand box for Tim and Joseph. It should be about three feet deep. Dani wants to make it herself with a little help from me. Would be great if we could get some Superior sand for it. When my little brother the famous Dr. John, was little my Dad brought sand from around Lake Superior for his sand box. Couldn't imagine doing that now. He also brought all his shrubery for the new house in Royal Oak from the Keewenaw one bush at a time. All this in a 1940 Desoto with the whole family in the car also.

By Margaret, Amarillo TX (Margaret) on Monday, July 30, 2007 - 10:59 am:

Quite an adventure Mikie. I think I'd rather be in the vicinity of the moose today though.

By Rowdy (Roudymi) on Monday, July 30, 2007 - 12:56 pm:

Looks like Sponge Bob Square Pants off to the left. Hope he beat a hasty retreat.

By Brooke (Lovethekeweenaw) on Monday, July 30, 2007 - 03:55 pm:

My boss enjoyed the UP over the weekend, she had never seen the Bridge. She liked it up there but is not a fan of Black flies (who is?)

By JH (Thumbgardener) on Monday, July 30, 2007 - 06:54 pm:

Rowdy, if you are talking about the picture above, I thought it looked more like an anemic Gumby :)
