John Anderson popped up on the Pasty Cam on this day back in '99. John was one of the first area photographers to become a guest contributor to the Pasty Cam, soon followed by other notables such as Charlie Eshbach, Joe Kirkish, Dan Urbanski and others.

Good Morning, Everyone! I hope you have a good day. It looks like we're going to have a somewhat nice day, instead of rain most of the day, like they had originally forecast, here in mid-Michigan.

By Uncle Chuck @ Little Betsy (Unclechuck) on Sunday, May 27, 2007 - 10:52 am:

Good Morning from the shores of Little Betsy, 43 degrees and a light mist, high today 56. Looks like blue jeans today instead of shorts. Can't get over how low the lake is, this is more then evaporation, who's draining the lake? Lac La Belle is so low, we're gonna have trouble launching a boat this summer, the marina in Copper Harbor is so low, the bigger boats that come in there are gonna have trouble. Are they using too much in the Soo? Is Canada using too much? Looks like she's goin dry! It's quite discouraging.

Yesterday Kosh said it was exciting to see freighters from the vantage point of a ferry in the St Clair River. To really get the perspective of size you have to see them from a 16 foot fishing boat.

Good Afternoon everyone! 53 degrees, windy, cloudy here in Houghton. Thanks for sharing the freighter picture, Bob. I like to look at freighter pictures parked or moving. Have a great day!!!

Bob,

I'll bet that would be exiting. Maybe a little bit too exciting.

By Bob Jewell, Farmington Hills (Rjewell) on Sunday, May 27, 2007 - 02:53 pm:

Kosk,
Not really she was loading at Port Dolomite at Cedarville so she wasn't moving. Although once I did have to up anchor to get out of their way.

By Brooke (Lovethekeweenaw) on Sunday, May 27, 2007 - 05:32 pm:

Bob, that is the bay my Aunt & Uncles place is on. We like to go past those boats in a small fishing boat also, since they are docked you can get close. My daughter often gets the view from a wakeboard. I have quite a few pictures just like that! The whole family spends the 2nd week of July there every summer, its a full house with 4 generations there for the week. We have a good time. We can't wait for this summer!
