Ashlee Harvey picks some colorful crocuses for the Pasty Cam, announcing that the season of new life has arrived in the U.P. After all the white of winter and the muddy brown of early spring, the vivid purple and white flowers are a sight for sore eyes. All over the Copper Country these beauties are sprouting up, smiling at everyone who passes by.

Good Morning!! What a beautiful sight of things yet to come...warm sunshine, lilacs, graduation, swimming, and a long hot summer filled with having time at the lake, picnics and barbecues. Who could ask for anything more??

Ahh..Yes, Chris, I can hardly wait! Don't forget--sitting outside
and watching the huge number of stars. You can tell that my
thoughs are centered on being in the UP where you can see stars,
and not on Toronto where the city lights block out the starlight.

Gorgeous buds. Nice change from winter.

By Kenty (Dashamo) on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 - 08:25 am:

Morning all. What a beaufiful view on Sharon's cam. The harbor looks like a sheet of glass!! Looks like another beauty day in da U.P., eh!!

By David S. (Yooperdfs) on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 - 08:52 am:

Simply beautiful. One thing is for sure; from now through the color season, da U.P. is da place to be.

At last! The harbingers of summer. Now, if the food chain could only manage without no-see-ums, mosquitos and blackflies, eh?

By Brooke (Lovethekeweenaw) on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 - 10:22 am:

I am happy to see flowers, things are turning green here. I drive to and from work on a road where the trees are overhead and it is best in the summer.

By s. dearing (Geebeed) on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 - 10:46 am:

Our lilac bushes, as well as the pink dogwood, started to bud out. Then came a hard freeze, and the buds on both froze and haven't bloomed. Lilacs are one of my favorotes in spring. Sure do miss their fragrance. But the dandelions are doing great!

Sounds a lot like "Covered Drive" here in the CC. I love that place in the summer. It is just awesome.

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 - 12:22 pm:

I love the pictures of the beautiful spring flowers up there! Thank you for brightening our day, Mary & Ashlee!

Our tulips are starting to bloom and our grass is greening up here in mid-Michigan, finally. I will be even happier when the trees start to blossom out & finally get green leaves on them!

"Spring" time is the best time of the year!!!!
Everything is so new, refreshing and full of life.
