High school hockey was the order of the day eight years ago on the PastyCam, with photos of the hottest rivalry around, Hancock vs. Houghton. This year, it was the Calumet Copper Kings that survived the first round of the state tournament and earned a trip to the next round at the Soo.

I wish I had spring fever; from my point of view, we never left fall in SE Texas...

So I'm assuming no PastyCammers hit the $360 million mega millions jackpot??? As most people, I was one of those dreamers thinking about what I'd do with that amount (of course, it would have helped if I'd of actually bought a ticket!! ;-)

I just checked and I didn't win. Sigh...

The numbers for the 3/6/7 Mega Millions were
16 22 29 39 42 and the big money ball 20

Back to the salt mines...

I enjoyed japei's pictures of the prague zoo. I do believe zoos are useful in preserving animal species that may be near extinction, and to teach people the beauty of our earth.

However, I really wonder about caging animals. There have been so many accounts recently of animals attacking their keepers. Ya wonder why?

I took my kids years ago to the Detroit Zoo, which is a pretty good facility as far as care of the animals and giving them freedom to roam in areas somewhat close to their habitat. We were in an enclosed exhibit for large cats. I forget if it was a lion or tiger, but the animal turned on the crowd and shot a huge spew of urine toward us. People laughed and ran. But, hello, get the message!

Thanks for the numbers Cindy, I didn't hit one. Guess the vacation home on Lake Superior will have to wait a few years. Worse I still have to work, I suppose I'll get over it. Hope everyone has a good day!

I have spring fever, big time. The only problem is that we haven't had any spring yet. But, the little birdie tells me that we might get a little taste of it this spring, with some luck. :-) :-)

A sure sign of spring only 17.... well closer to 16 days until the soo locks open for the season!
