Jonathan Hopper took this shot eight years ago, just north of Mohawk on US-41. The caption talks about sunshine returning -- today, the summer temperatures return with a high predicted in the upper 70s.

What a great day for a run-through at The Hut Inn, which will open Monday, 11 am - 9 pm. Chef Mike Porter has a great menu lined up, so next time you are in the area, make sure to hit the Hut.

Good morning everyone :) As ILoveLucy said, it's beautiful today...sun is shining and temps are headed up into the 70's today :) Hope to get the grill going this afternoon ;)

Thumbgardner, no leaf color change here on Lake Michigan...the lake must be keeping us a tad bit warmer than it is inland, eh. It was like that when I lived in Michigan on Lake Erie...all the trees in town would change colors and drop, and just a few miles away, our trees were as green as could be...and always the last to change and drop.

Ok, Dean, here's the deal: You all keep The Hut open for at least a decade, or rather two, min., and I'll make sure to hit it when I make it UP.
But, speaking of menu - is it available online?

Is that the Gitchee Gumee bus? Looks like it to me.

By JH (Thumbgardener) on Saturday, October 7, 2006 - 04:27 pm:

Sur5er, I hope you get some good color in your area, until then enjoy the green. It won't be long and we will be seeing white. But that's good. I like the white too.

I was in St. Clair Michigan and the Herbert Jackson sailed by, my brother in law Ray Du Temple sailed on it. When it went by it saluted us and all I could think of was Ray just said hello.
