I don't know about you, but I never seem to tire of photos showing the power of Lake Superior. That's why these shots from William Pekuri caught my eye. While visiting in the Marquette area, he spotted the waves splashing over the breakwall at Presque Isle, under an ominous looking sky. Then, further east along the way to Munising, he snapped this interesting shot of Miner's Castle Beach at Pictured Rocks. It almost gives you the feeling that the beach is flowing towards you, followed by the waves.

No question about it: There is something thrilling in watching big waves batter the land. One of my favories remains a PastyCam shot Steve Brimm got of a wave crashing on a rock, looks like up towards Copper Harbor. Boom!

I was just reading on wluctv6.com that Still Waters is closing...which runs this website correct??
What will become of this "essential in my life" website??

Just to clarify - and as KJ points out, the clarification is in detail on What's Up - pasty.com and pasty.net grew out of Still Waters, but became independent companies in 2001 when several employees of Pasty Central purchased the companies as a source of funds for the home to stay open. This provided a stream of income which helped to keep Still Waters going for the past five years.

The Pasty Cam will live on. :-)
