They say if you can force yourself to practice a new action or skill for 21 days, it will become a habit. At the start of week #4 of the Pasty Cam on this day in 1998, we had still not settled in to the final format, as far as the collage of the previous week is concerned. But we definitely were on a roll with this new daily feature, and it had definitely become a habit.

Jonathan continued to look for sights around our home, the Copper Country, which we ourselves would want to see if we didn't have the good fortune of living here year round. Often he would catch a mirror in the picture, to give a dual view. This one happened to be looking both ways along US-41 travelling past the new State Police post in Calumet.

By this time the Pasty Cam began to receive quite a number of requests for specific sights from the U.P., not just in the Keweenaw. It would be another couple of weeks before we would bring any picture from elsewhere in Upper Michigan.

Morning!
First Post
The Management regrets its recent lapse in bestowing the prestigious Early Bird Award, due to a shortage of blue #6CFCFC on the 'net. Supplies have now been restored.

We apologize for any inconvience

Apology accepted. I could have had it at least 3 times in the last week or so but since you provide us with such wonderful entertainment we can forget about it. lol Truly, I do love this website. It's the only one I visit daily. The people are great. But what would one expect? They're either living in the UP or UP wannabees. Happy hump day!

Morning All.
The management is forgiven for this little transgretion. The early humor will have me smiling the rest of the day. Thank you to management. Enjoy the day everyone.

Charlie, I was feeling some heat, too, on Saturdays - - because of missing the Bird. And it occurred to me last night, if we ever run short of #6CFCFC, you might consider harvesting some from the PASTY.NET logo on the bottom of these pages. I notice there is a region near the top - - where blue meets green - - that the pixels are rich in #6CFCFC. Look close, somewhere around Whitefish Point. I bet you could squeeze out a bunch.

Usedtobeayooper, Thank you for my morning chuckle :) Wednesday's hump day...middle of the week, eh.

You people are just too hilarious with the Early Bird thing, but management gets the crown today. I have also always loved the 'printed on recycled internet' notice.

April 1st is just days away....

Here is an interesting historical note from boatnerd.com

On 22 March 1987, the pilothouse of the 1901, steamer ALTADOC, which was used as a gift shop and 2-room hotel near Copper Harbor, Michigan, was destroyed by fire.
