Michelle Lutke Biggers, along with her hubby Brett and their four-legged friend, Sisu have been wanting to hike to the Trap Hills for a while and they recently did it. She said it was challenging for her in some spots, but it felt really good to do something new. The hike is a 6 mile loop through the hills, with a handful of climbs up and down these hills. She added that most of the hike follows along the North Country Trail and it was hard to find the trail in a lot of spots, due to the fallen leaves partly. Luckily they had ways to navigate, so they didn’t get lost. You can see from Michelle’s photos that the colors were absolutely incredible and she said the silence was golden.
The video gives you an almost live view of the 6 mile hike, with some of the amazing views of the Trap Hills, over in Ontonagon County. Michelle figured after that hike, they were going to sleep well that night. All in all it was a great way to spend a day in the woods.
Oh my, what a spectacular view! Sounds like it takes some serious work to get there too. Probably more than these old legs could manage, so really appreciate you sharing these wilderness adventures with us!

Holy smokes! I just love the first and last 3 pictures! So much color! I believe this year has been better than any in quite a while. I've been in total awe just driving from here to Houghton. Simply amazing!
