Beth Jukuri and her two year old grandson recently went hiking on the Tolkien Trails, which is an easy, family-friendly and dog friendly trail as part of the Michigan Tech Trails system in Houghton. She said they had a lot of fun the woods that day. Absolutely beautiful surroundings with the colorful leaves blanketing the trails. It doesn’t get much better than enjoying nature and showing youngsters the joy of exploring with Grandma. Looks like they found some interesting mushrooms and fungi, too. I don’t know who’s luckier, the little man or Grandma Beth? Priceless memories are being made in those woods.
Today’s video is from In The Keweenaw on a drive taken on October 3rd to check out the Fall colors along US-41 south from Copper Harbor, MI. It’s an Autumn covered road drive. Enjoy!

Think both Beth and her Grandson are equally lucky to be in the UP woods in autumn! We miss it already, last week UP there was just gorgeous :) Beautiful drive on US-41 too, thanks for sharing!

How wonderful! What lucky folks, both Grandma and Little Man!!
Beautiful pictures, Beth. I love leafy covered grounds so much. They're beautiful and they smell so good.
We took that drive a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't quite so orange. But it was still beautiful.

Hi Lovely photos, and I also like the name Tolkien Trails. Did you see any hobbits or elves? ;>) I'm happy for the little kid.
The drive shown in the video looked great. I'll be up in the Northern Lower this weekend.
