If you’re looking for a pumpkin to carve and to decorate your home and porch, Judy Byykkonen has just the place for you to check out here today, the Mayflower Pumpkin Farm on the Mayflower Road in the Valley. You can see from Judy’s photos, that they have plenty of pumpkins to pick from, big ones, small ones and everything in between. They also have some spooky displays and even a brand new Mayflower Cemetery, filled with the skeletal bones of a number of critters. If you’re looking for something fun to do this coming weekend, Saturday, October 17th they’re hosting a Family Fun Day from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. where you can enjoy some ghostly, creepy crawling spooky drinks with sweet treats and have your picture taken, too. Get out there to explore the farm, pick a pumpkin and enjoy the Autumn Day! For more information click here: Family Fun Day

We join Kristin Ojaniemi for Discovering: Fall Fishing Walleye & Crappie and a Youth in the Outdoors Event with Great Lakes Sports and Recreation Club. The lead-in says: “An action packed day of fall multi-species fishing in the Keweenaw with Connor Baccus. I even got to catch a few crappies. The Great Lakes Sports and Recreation Club held their annual Youth in the Outdoors Event on National Hunting and Fishing Day.”

I have never seen so many pumpkins in one place in
my life! Wow! Lots of deer chow there!

I am addicted to Discovering, and Connor Baccus, in
this show is magic! Every cast brought in a fish!
He does Charter Fishing, and that young man knows
his craft! And when Kristen talks to the littles,
that makes my heart smile!

What fun pictures! And what a fun time of year for
both kids and adults alike.

I didn’t know pumpkins
came in so many different
colors. You can choose
one that goes with your
outfit. So chic.

Hi
With regard to Donna's deer chow remark, a couple of
years back I carved a jack-o-lantern and left it on my
porch. I don't know whether it was a deer, rabbit,
squirrel or woodchuck, but the pumpkin was in pieces
the next morning.

What a fantastic assortment of pumpkins, some of
those fancy warty varieties are pretty scary looking
all on their own. Really nice seasonal decorating job!
Last week we were vacationing in the eastern UP,
and saw quite a few places all decked out for
Halloween. Several went all out, with professional
looking setups, especially around the Soo.

And on those fishing shows I don’t believe they
show you the countless casts that don’t bring in a fish lol!
