Last week, Michelle Lutke Biggers was at the boat launch at the South Branch of the Ontonagon River and captured some shots of the leaves blanketing the ground there. She commented that Fall is happening fast this year and these leaves were brought down by some much needed rain the night before. It is that time of year, that the rain and winds will knock the beauty right off the branches of the trees like this. But don’t fret yet, there is still color to be seen, although it is changing fast.

I say this every fall, the beauty of the Pasty Cam is that we can make the season last much longer than it really is, with all the beautiful photographs that people are willing to share with us. So if you’re not able to get here to see it in person, stay tuned right here for more to come.

To wrap up the week, Michelle is taking us on a hike to Trap Falls in the Porcupine Mountains. She says the only place she wants to be this time of year is in the woods. I’m sure glad she’s always willing to let us tag along. Click here to see more of Michelle & Brett’s adventures: Wandering Michigan

Hi
As a homeowner, my first reaction to all the leaves on
the ground was "There's work in the making". But
nonetheless these are beautiful scenes. And Trap Falls
looks like a peaceful spot.

Oh my gosh, that’s a lot of leaves! And
the trees are still beautiful. Pic #2 is my
favorite. Love the hike to the falls too,
thanks so much for taking us along!

There's not much better than leaves blanketing the
ground. It looks great and smells so very good. We
don't have enough trees in our yard for it to look
like this. Thanks for these Michelle.

That's Mother Nature's Blanket...and there for a
reason! Lots of nutrients get back in the soil
because of that!
