Jeff, Chris and Fritz Dennis were kayaking around Copper Harbor and captured a great shot of Fritz with a copper vein in the water, to the left in the top photo. Then Jeff took an underwater photo of the vein of Copper and Quartz. Pretty neat! They also found an arch in Lake Superior while out there with Chris waiting on the other side for Jeff and Fritz to go underneath. After all that, the crew needed to take a little break, but it looks like Fritz was ready to get back on the water again. On their way, Jeff snapped a fun shot of the Lantern Room of the Copper Harbor Lighthouse peeking over the rocks and trees.

Jeff’s bottom photo and the video are from behind the Lake Linden-Hubbell Elementary School, while paddling around in Torch Lake recently. They spotted a beaver off in the distance and all of a sudden one popped up right next to Jeff and Fritz’s kayak. Fritz did a bit of whining, but thankfully he didn’t bark and scare him off. Jeff said Fritz has previously jumped in after a duck, but immediately regretted it and swam back to the kayak, so he must have known better than to try to jump in after the beaver, since he’s a lot bigger than a duck!

They have to be the most fun people to hang with!

I enjoyed the video. Early on, Fritz gives a growl and
then shifts into whines. I interpret that as: "There's
something out there, shouldn't we do something? Aggh,
it's getting away!" I also like Fritz's reaction when
the beaver slapped its tail and dove.

Great pictures as always, Jeff. You guys have so
many fun adventures. We all really look forward to
your pictures. I really like the 2nd one. So cool.
The 3rd one looks like the arch from Marcy's
pictures the other day. Fritz really has a great
life.

I can never get enough of Fritz! He is one lucky
pup!
