In case you missed the post last week, one of our regular contributers, Michelle Lutke and Brett Biggers tied the knot! They decided that a honeymoon, UP style was the way to go for them, so they headed to Bob Lake in the Ottawa National Forest for a fall camping trip before it gets too cold. Michelle said it was so peaceful and relaxing after a busy summer and getting married. They have camped here before so they already knew they wanted to go back. A site right on the lake with beautiful stars to stare at all night, plus being able to have their trusty four-legged companion along made it the perfect place to honeymoon.
Michelle also shares a video of their drive to Houghton about a week ago. The colors were just starting to pop in some areas along their M-26 drive north of Mass City to about South Range. I’m sure the colors have since really come out more, but the reds, yellows and oranges mixed with the shades of green, really make beautiful scenes of early fall. For more of Michelle, Brett and Sisu’s adventures check out their webpage here: Wandering Michigan. What a fantastic getaway for Michelle and Brett’s honeymoon! Love how they lit up their tent, and I think Sisu approves too. All the photos are great, #2 and 5 are my favorites. Enjoyed the video too, with that interesting “spherical effect” that they added, fun and creative stuff! Thanks for taking us along.

Absolutely beautiful pictures and what a great place to camp. That being said I’ve never heard of Bob Lake. I couldn’t get the video to play probably because I don’t do Facebook. Not sure. I only tried it on my cell phone. I know I’ve been MIA, it just seems like one medical issue after another, but things are looking up. We did get to use the RV quite a bit this past summer, and I’ll be taking care of some final warranty issues on 10/9 and putting that away at our storage lot after that. It remains to be seen if we pull it out and go somewhere in January and February down south, I haven’t been told by the boss yet! Lol
Hope you’re all doing well. Enjoy the rest of the week. It’s all downhill after tomorrow Wednesday being hump day.

A perfect honeymoon for these two. I had never heard of Bob Lake. I've learned a lot from these two. My favorite pictures are the last two. What a beautiful sky. Thanks for sharing these with us.

Bob's lake, with its 17 campsites, looks like a very nice camping option, especially this week or next.
