Today is the 25th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks here in our country. When I saw these sunrise photos taken by Bob Fleury over at 906 Superiorland Sunrises, I thought they would be the perfect scenes for remembering those who lost their lives that day and folks that are still suffering from the effects of those attacks. Take a few moments today to remember and commemorate this solemn day.

Kaleidoscope Sunrise is what Bob called these shots and he told me that sunrise photography his addiction nowadays, as he quit his cigarette smoking addiction 13 years ago and hasn’t missed a visible sunrise yet. A much better addiction and one we all benefit from also.

Fall is approaching and if you’re looking for a fun Fall activity, check out the newest Crossing Place video from Visit Keweenaw – Corn Mazes and Core Memories: Palosaari Corn Maze. The lead-in says: “Maybe a Michigan fall is measured in hayrides, corn mazes, pumpkins and apple cider. The kind of afternoons spent outside until the light starts to fade. The crunch of leaves underfoot. A little chill in the air, but not enough to send you home. The familiar places you visited every year, and the traditions that somehow followed you into adulthood. That same feeling is waiting in the Copper Country. Fall here is a beautiful in-between: summer still lingering in the golden daylight, autumn settling into the turning leaves, and a whole season of farms, festivals, scenic drives and community gatherings unfolding in between. At Palosaari Corn Maze in Chassell, MI, the work of fall begins long before visitors arrive. Corn is planted in spring, pumpkins are grown through summer, and by late September, the farm is ready for another season of family fun and familiar faces. It’s the kind of place that can become part of your Copper Country story, too.”

Excellent photos to commemorate the 9/11
anniversary. Always remember the victims
and the heroes who gave all, may they rest
in peace.
Thanks for sharing!

Hi
There was a commemoration at one of the local parks
here in Jackson. The speaker noted that first
responders ran toward the danger. Bless those who help.

I note that 3 of the 4 photos show life (the tree and
the birds}.

It's been a heavy day! To think it's been 25 years,
holy wha!

The pictures are absolutely glorious! Fun video!

Beautiful photos. What a day! Who doesn't remember
that day? None of us will forget. I had tears in my
eyes a few times today, reading different articles
about that day. Watching interviews on TV from
people dying with illnesses gotten from helping and
breathing in all of that dust. Heroes, all of them.
Blessings to all of those who lost loved ones that
day and who are still losing them now.
