Kathy Erkkila Ptaszek was given quite the unique, early birthday gift a few weeks ago, by her friend: A room for the night at the historic Lake Breeze Resort in Eagle Harbor. Kathy remarked on there being so much history there and told me that the resort is only open to rentals a few weeks in August and she doesn’t think they do any advertising. What a lovely gift to be given a stay there, as I would guess it might be hard to get a reservation with limited times for rentals. Kathy enjoyed it thoroughly, including a dip in the lake, too! Then in the morning she was up bright and early to watch the sunrise and capture the Eagle Harbor Lighthouse with the morning sky surrounding it, along with a great sunrise freighter sailing by. She was singing, “Here comes the Sun... doo, doo, doo, doo… I bet you’re singing it now, too.
