Michelle Lutke has done it once again, she’s taking us to someplace I’ve never been... Wolf Mountain in Gogebic County, near Wakefield. Looking at the photos she is sharing here today, I would say that the views are some of the most outstanding here UP North. Michelle says it is one of their favorite spots to watch the sunset and adds that the hike to the top is short, but a climb pretty much the whole way. The reward though, are gorgeous views from the highest point in Gogebic County. With fall just around the corner, she says that they will definitely be back several times in the next few months to watch all the colors changing from up there. Someone made the comment on her post, that it’s such a special place and when you’re on the top, you think there’s no one around for hundreds of miles.
We get to enjoy some of the Wolf Mountain sunset views in Michelle’s video, too. Notice how silent it is here, Michelle says, you can’t even hear a single car. It’s a beautiful Upper Michigan spot to just sit back and take in the beauty of silence and all nature has to offer.

Never heard of Wolf Mountain before, but that view sure is spectacular!! The sunset glow make Michelle’s photos even more impressive. The first one reminds me of the Brockway Mountain view looking away from Lake Superior. And the peaceful silence in the video is the UP at its finest (in my opinion). Thanks for sharing :)

I commented on this but it's gone. Ugh! I drive myself crazy, lol. I've never heard of that mountain but the beauty is amazing. There is just so much beauty in the UP. The sunset in the video is so pretty too.
