I can’t think of a better way to wrap up this week, than with a menagerie of Copper Country Critters, courtesy of Jamie Rowe. She captured some unique critters, some in ordinary places, others in clever places. We start out with a great capture of an Albino Squirrel, check out that pink eye that’s checking out its photographer. Very cool. Then from one extreme to the other Jamie caught a black squirrel sprawled out on a tree, like it’s hanging on for dear life. Too funny.
How cute is the third photo of the chipmunk having a picnic of peanuts and sunflower seeds? I mean really, it is such a tiny little picnic table, but almost too big for that furry little guy, so he had to stand on the bench to get his grub. Next is that regal eagle sitting on a shoreline rock, like it’s enjoying the view of Lake Superior...perfect way to spend the day in my opinion.
Lastly, that’s Jamie’s furry friend, Raeglan, lounging on her outdoor bed, elevated off the ground. It looks to me like she’s had enough of all these critters and is just going to take a nap in the fresh air... smart Pup… Do Not Disturb!
I’m not sure how I missed it, but Visit Keweenaw put out a Crossing Place video over a month ago, with Bryce Holden, the Marketing and Outreach Manager of KORC – Keweenaw Outdoor Recreation Coalition, talking about how the organization cares for the places that make the Keweenaw a great place to visit. He reminds us all about how stewardship is part of recreation and how families, neighbors and visitors work side by side to remove litter, clean beaches and help keep the Keweenaw clean, safe and welcoming for everyone.

the chippy! And the dog pic is just so awesome!
I love these Keweenaw videos...this one is
wonderful, and a great reminder, DON'T LITTER!

I love critter pictures. Pretty cool for the
chippy to have his own picnic table, lol. A very
nice set.
