When Jeff Dennis and family were in Mackinac Island recently, a few folks felt bad for Fritz that he didn’t get to go on that adventure, but never fear, Fritz the Wonder Dog is back on the water again. He takes us by Station Portage, the Coast Guard Station in Dollar Bay. Quite the colorful scene. Someone commented that when they went by there making a trolling pass, someone warned them over the speakers to move their vessel away from the station. Jeff said that two guys were on the dock when they went by there, so he waved to them and said hello, but they didn’t wave back or say hello, either.
The next two photos were on the Portage Canal, with the Ranger III and the Portage Lake Lift Bridge in the background, then a nicely lit dock for Fritz to be in the limelight. Next we get a look at how patiently Fritz waits to get out there on the water. Someone wanted to know what they tell Fritz when it’s time to go in the Kayak, like when you ask your dog if they want to go for a walk. Jeff said they just say “Go in the boat?” and he’s ready, with tail wagging.
The remaining shots are out at White City Pier, with the Lower Entry Lighthouse in the background. I love all the expressions from Fritz. In those two, he looks like he’s smiling, happy to be back in the kayak again. Jeff recorded a video along the Pier there, too, with plenty of seagulls, then he zooms in so you can see some folks jumping from the landing around the Lighthouse. Summer fun!

What great pictures. I love Jeff's adventures with
Fritz. He's so photogenic. And their adventures
make for great photography. The video was cool,
seeing people jump off the lighthouse into the
lake. I was never that brave.

Fritz gets to have more fun adventures than
most humans I know! Always great to see him,
wherever his family is out exploring :)
Love their video too! I would be up for a walk out
to the light on a calm day like that, but certainly
no jumping off.

Cindy, we've walked that pier so many times and not
once have I considered jumping off. It's not that I
don't swim in that lake because I do. It's just the
shock of that cold all at once. I like to inch my
way in, lol. But good on them.
