When Laurie Bashaw and her hubby, Ed, were in Copper Harbor camping recently. They wanted to go on the Isle Royale Queen IV Sunset Cruise, but the weather wasn’t cooperating. The Harbor was fogged in, so the Queen wouldn’t be going out. Instead, they hopped in their vehicle and headed up on Brockway Mountain to watch the sun set from UP there. Laurie said it did not disappoint and looking at her photos, I’d have to agree. The fog was so thick, you couldn’t even tell there was a Lake out there, instead it was a sea of fog. Quite a unique view from what you normally see on the top of Brockway. A local told them that he had never seen the fog so thick before.
On a windy, yet sunny day, Frederic Koski over at Fred Koski Photography recorded a neat video of Ferns blowing in the wind. The sound of the wind, along with a few birds singing in the background... that right there is nature at its finest.

Did you know, Fog is actually a cloud down low?
What glorious pictures...how was the ride up the mountain? I hear the road has seriously deteriorated..
Hi I love the last two photos. But the one titled "Where is the Big Lake?" is also nice, interesting and artsy.

Wow, lovely photos of the fogged in Lake! The colors in pics #2-5 are glorious. And the fern video is just so calming & peaceful, pure MI ;)

I highly recommend that Sunset Cruise. It was amazing being out in the shipping lanes of Lake superior. Then more amazing when we cruised along side of the Misabi Miner!

What gorgeous pictures. I love fog pictures, so serene. And the sunset is awesome.
I love ferns also. I have them growing in my back yard and have transplanted some in other areas also. I've always loved them. To hear them rustling like that is cool, too.
