One of Kathy Erkkila Ptaszek’s favorite places to take a walk and unwind from the busy world around us, is at the Nara Nature Boardwalk area. You can see from her photos snapped along the way, how peaceful and calming it is to just stroll along enjoying the quiet and scenery. She photographed a few of the flowers she saw while walking, including Cow Parsnip, some Thimbleberry blossoms and a patch of beautiful Northern Blue Flag Iris flowers. From the sky photos, it looks like Kathy picked an absolutely glorious day for this adventure.
Since we’re out walking, let’s take another stroll with In The Keweenaw this time, as he tests his Insta360 Luna Ultra gimbal camera on a bridge walk at sunset, going from Hancock to Houghton and back.

Hi Thimbleberry blossoms lead to thimbleberries--yum. It does look like a beautiful day for a walk. I hope bugs were not an issue. I had a problem with flies last week at my cabin near Cheboygan. To get some relief, I took a trip to the UP to go swimming at the beaches along US2.

Nat and I will be UP in a couple weeks to escape the disrespectful heat/humidity of SE Texas.

Wow, beautiful!
If you find a thimbleberry patch, dig up a start and plant it at home....they grow like weeds.

Have wanted to go walk that trail but haven't gotten around to it. Pretty pictures. It'll be thimbleberry picking time in a couple of weeks. Can't wait!!
