The Dennis family has been quite busy kayaking in the warmer Spring weather lately and they aren’t the only ones out and about enjoying the warmer temperatures. Jeff, Chris, Rose and Fritz have seen a variety of critters on their adventures, including Sandhill Cranes, Turtles, Eagles in the Nest, a Duck with what looks like ten Ducklings, a Goose with four Goslings, and a Merganser Duck with a wild hairdo. That’s quite an assortment of critters and another sign that Spring is finally here, with babies, eagles in the nest, turtles out sunning themselves and more. How fun that they all stayed around to get their photos snapped, too.

Jeff and Chris’ daughter, Rose recorded a video when they were kayaking on the Big Traverse River on a recent evening paddle. The deer on shore, decided to get a closer look at them, then Fritz decided to get a closer look at the deer, but Jeff always has him on a leash, so he couldn’t go far. I love that Jeff grabs the handle on Fritz’s lifejacket to just pick him up out of the water. That’s a handy accessory!

Fritz really wanted to have a closer encounter with that deer. And you're right, Mary, that "doggie handle" really comes in handy!

I didn't know this when I was preparing these photos and notes, but I just found out it's actually Jeff's Birthday today!

adventures with Fritz, you guys get some of
the BEST photos!! We have an abundance of
goslings and ducklings around here too.
Difficult to pick a favorite photo today,
but Fritz and the turtles are just too cute.
And it made me laugh when Fritz jumped in
to go after that deer, good thing he has that
convenient handle on his vest :) Looks like it
frequently gets him out of trouble.
