There was a beautiful rainbow over L’Anse recently and Diane Richard captured a few photos of it. What a welcome sight that is, almost like it’s a sign that winter is over and summer isn’t too far away. Diane was in a good place to capture the entire arc of the rainbow, too. Sometimes, you can’t see the entire rainbow like that, so she was in the right place at the right time. She also shared a neat photo of the sun with streaks in view. I’m not sure if that is a sunrise or a sunset, but whichever it is, it’s a beauty.

Our video today is in the L’Anse area, also, from WeRmudfun – Chuck and Cheryl’s Outdoor Adventures. They’re taking us to Michigan’s High Point – Mount Arvon. The lead-in says: Mount Arvon - It comes in at 1979 feet above sea level. Our 8th us state high point. Mount Arvon in L'Anse, Michigan. Stop by the L'Anse Tourism Office for the best directions to the Highest point in Michigan.”

Spectacular rainbow pictures and that sunset is
amazing. I would like to live in L'Anse with the
lake right there.

Hi
It's always great to see a rainbow--they feel like a
gift.

When I was a kid, my family camped at Baraga State Park
near L'Anse. I was used to going swimming in Lake Huron
so I was surprised to find that I couldn't get used to
Lake Superior.

Gorgeous rainbow photos!
I’m with you Kathyrn, a rainbow always feels like a gift.
Nice video tour up to Mount Arvon too, thanks for taking us along
for the ride!

This set brings back fond memories from last summer.
We were in L’Anse on the Falls River trail when thunder started to
rumble, so we hustled back to the truck to watch the storm roll by
over the bay. Scary looking skies! Then we traveled to the Slate
River to visit Quartzite and Black Slate Falls, both are lovely and
easy to access.

Beautiful pics...way to go Diane.

Also, after you hit the top of Mt. Arvon, you can
go to L'Anse Visitor Center and they'll give you a
certificate that you've been to the highest point
in Michigan!
