Later last week, Laurie Bashaw and her hubby Ed, took a ride to Piers Gorge in Norway, Michigan. She said the power of the river was just amazing and so cool. Laurie added that they were very cautious not to get too close to the edge of the river, as the power of the water rushing by could have easily snatched them into that raging water. She added that there were lots of people there and it wasn’t even the weekend yet. I guess everyone is tired of being cooped UP with the winter storms we’ve had in the past few weeks and they had to get out and enjoy the warmer temperatures that day.

This is the time of year to really enjoy the waterfalls, with all the snow melting, they are all at their prime. E. Neil Harri captured the Eagle River Falls on video last week also, so we can enjoy the spectacle of the entire falls peaking with snowmelt runoff. Pretty incredible!

Hi
The "Rolling Wave" photo made me stop and stare,
trying to figure out what is causing it.

My favorite Robert Frost poem, "West-Running Brook",
speaks about how a wave in a stream runs counter to
the flow:
"It has this throwing backward on itself
So that the fall of most of it is always
Raising a little, sending up a little....
The tribute of the current to the source."

I highly recommend the complete poem.
