When Shannon, over at 906 Images goes exploring along Lake Superior’s shoreline in Marquette, he always finds something interesting to photograph and most of the time it’s something unique and interesting like today’s icy photos. He snapped these the end of March, so if the temperatures keep warming UP, they won’t be there much longer and even if they are still there, when Superior gets wavy, the icy art will change with each successive wave. That’s the beauty of the Big Lake, she is every changing and so is her shoreline. Luckily, photos like these from Shannon, freeze the icy art (pun intended) in time.
Today’s video is what it’s like to take a dip in Lake Superior. Shannon didn’t physically jump in himself, but sent his underwater camera into the chilly waters at the cove near Blackrocks in Marquette. Check out the beautiful rocks just waiting for someone to find them. I wonder if there are any agates hiding under that ice there?

Beautiful pictures! I wouldn't trust being under
them, but that's me. That's for taking all of the
chances.

Hi
Wonderful pictures...the viewer can enjoy the unusual
beauty instead of thinking "When will the snow melt"?
