Definitely a good sign that Spring will finally be arriving here in the U.P., despite the snow and winter warnings we’ve been having lately. Diane Richard captured the Trumpeter Swans that have returned in the Keweenaw Bay area, along with a few Geese that have also come back. It’s always fun to spot the Swans and even more enjoyable to be seeing open water for these returning birds to swim around in. Hopefully the weather will start warming, the snow and ice will continue to melt and maybe we’ll be seeing green grass and leaves before you know it!
In The Keweenaw shares a look at the Last Tracks on Mont Ripley. They closed for the season after the Slush Pit that took place for some “end of the season” fun.

Nice! We saw geese yesterday and it feels so good. There's light at end of the tunnel.

Hi I like seeing trumpeter swans, who are native. The first photo with white birds in the foreground and snow remnents in the background is a good one.

The goose on the far left, looks like he's standing on the head of another goose!

Donna, to me it looks like the goose in question is standing on a rock and what we see is a reflection in the water.
