Jeff Dennis gets quite a few pictures of the deer on the shores of Little Traverse Bay and someone asked what type of camera he uses. So I thought I’d share his reply, in case others might be wondering. He said that many, but not all of the deer pictures are with a StealthCam trail camera. He does have a Canon camera also, but rarely uses it, relying mostly on pictures from his good old Apple iPhone. So there you have it, all of Jeff’s secrets for his photography...well, maybe not quite all of them.

He has some dandy moon shots with the deer here today, which he says: “Fly me to the moon!”. Then he proves that the sun rises, even in the winter with the fourth photo. That last shot, Jeff figured that “Heaven must look something like this... but maybe warmer?”

Today’s video is from the Woodsy Introverts, saying it’s been feeling like a snow globe here in the Keweenaw. The lead-in says: “277 inches of snow here in the Keweenaw Peninsula in the UP of Michigan. It’s time to shovel the roof of our house. This is how Randy does it! Winters in the Keweenaw Peninsula are extreme with an an average of 300 inches of snow during a winter. This year there has been no melt off so the snow is really deep.”
We did have a week of warmer temps that melted some of our “feet” of snow, but then it snowed some more again! Such is Spring in the Copper Country!

Today's snowfall update exceeded 300 inches for the first time this winter. Currently 302.75"

the first one. Thanks, Jeff!!

Hauntingly, beautiful pics that make me want to wax lyrical;
“” Oh, I’m being followed by a Moonshadow,
Moonshadow, Moonshadow
Leapin’ and hoppin’ on a Moonshadow,
Moonshadow, Moonshadow”
(Cat)
And the Yoopers get no rest, but at least they are kept in shape.
Who needs planet fitness?

Hi
Alex, that's a good chorus to the Cat Stevens song, but
the verses are about how good it is to lose
stuff...including your teeth. So how about
"It's a magical night for a moon dance" ? (I forget the
artist)

I think it's a marvelous night for a moondance, Kath. Van Morrison.

Hi
You're right, George. Whoops.

Great Pics!! I knew by looking at the first pic
before scrolling down that it was at Jeff's place.
Love to see the healthy deer. The video was great
too, perfect song selection. Great to see all the
musical references... right up my alley lol.
