On my daily walks, I try to take in the beauty that surrounds me and recently I pulled out my phone to snap a few shots of the snow that was hanging on to the branches and trees. That first capture reminded me of a snake the way it was wrapped around the branch, pretty neat. The next photo shows how the weight of the snow bends the smaller trees right over in an arch, touching the ground with its top. Hopefully once the snow melts some and drops off, the tree will come back and stand tall again. The third photo is my favorite. I actually walked past it and realized it was like a collar on that small pine tree or maybe a donut around it. I had to backtrack to snag that picture.
The next three photos are a fox that was actually sitting on the side of the road and when I started walking towards it, he crossed the road and stopped to look at me. Then it jumped the snowbank and started across the field parallel to me walking on the road back to my house. After a short distance, he decided to sit down and check me out. As soon as I talked to him, saying good morning Mr. Fox, he turned and trotted off the opposite way, away from me. He sure looked to be healthy and had quite a bushy tail.

I knew I'd seen these pictures before, and as soon as I saw the fox I knew who they belonged to. You sure get some nice shots on your walks.

Beautiful pictures...how the snow makes such gorgeous art...boy, there is art out there today! But I do love when snow graces a branch..it's so beautiful at times! Love that fox too, and after you told him Good Morning..he had his orders for the day!!
And holy wha on the Polar Plunge....cannot say I've done that. I have done "Who goes in first" in the Spring time...for many years...but in the Winter? No. God Bless the folks doing it!!

Hi Mary, nice job of seeing patterns in the snowy beauty. To quote Yogi Berra: "You can observe a lot by looking".
The fox pictures are neat. It's good that the animal is keeping its distance; being wary will help it stay alive.
Donna, I totally agree with you about the polar plunge.
