Joy Ziemnick snapped this photo of their Old English Sheepdog, Sherlock, watching the sunset over Lake Superior here in the Keweenaw. I love how he’s just sitting there on the ottoman, so chill, enjoying the beauty that nature displays outside their living room window. He sure is a smart pup!
We’ve got some photos here today, just in case you’d like your own “zen” moment to sit and watch the sunset or maybe the sunrise, as I’m not quite sure if these stunning photos from Shannon over at 906 Images are setting or rising in Marquette. But what I do know for sure, is that they are absolutely beautiful, each in it’s own way. The ice surrounding the scenes, along with the way the sun’s rays are reflecting on the ice, give it a “fire and ice” look, turning everything golden. So sit back and enjoy the moments, like Sherlock did.
Shannon also shares a video he recently recorded, with a different type of look at Lake Superior. He says that we always see the beauty of Lake Superior from above, but he thinks it’s even more beautiful underneath. We go under the ice and see through the clear Superior waters, what is below. No dry suit needed!

These are so beautiful. You're so lucky to have
this view.

Hi
Sherlock has very nice furniture to rest on. And
the house does have a nice view.
Of the three close-ups, I like the one titled
"Sunburst" the best.
We have had above freezing day-time temperatures
followed by below-freezing nights. This has made
the former snow-packed trails through the woods
icy and treacherous. Oh well, soon enough they'll
be muddy. ;>)
