We’re out exploring with Michelle Lutke and Brett Biggers, in the Ironwood area, snowshoeing on the Wolverine Nordic Ski Trails. Michelle said this was their first visit there, so they opted for the shortest trail, the Snowflake Loop. The trail is just over a mile long and was nicely packed down, along with being very well marked. She said they will definitely be back to snowshoe more of the trails, as this was such a gorgeous hike and they got to check out some cool ice formations on the trail, too.

The video is from the Black River in Ironwood. Michelle said the river sure does create some masterpieces in the winter and commented what a great day it was to hike some of the frozen waterfalls in the Ironwood area. The ice and snow around this waterfall is nothing short of amazing. One of the commenters, said it made them think of a root beer float!

Uncle Chuck asked me to post an update for him, as he doesn't have his laptop and it's hard to type it on his phone...
Chuck says: Surgery is not an option to be done safely at this point, so with medication and a specific pacemaker, I can still hopefully live a productive life for years to come. I appreciate the Pasty family for your concerns and well wishes. Today is the 20th day if they do the procedure this afternoon and I go home the following day, that’ll be 21 days in the hospital here at U Of M, barring any unforeseen additional problems after the pacemaker is put in. I’m looking forward to getting it over with doing some physical therapy and certainly getting back up to God’s country.

Thanks Mary for sharing UC's message.
UC, hope the procedure and your recovery go well!

Letting you all know that UC's surgery went off
without a hitch and he goes home tomorrow. I'm sure
I see he gets home he'll update everybody.

Those waterfalls are so cool. And I love the snow
sculpture tree.
