We’re heading out on the snowmobile trails with Madison Scheriff for a ride-along on a loop from Marquette to Big Bay, then to Ishpeming and back to Marquette again. That first photo is from the top of Mount Marquette... quite a vista from UP there. The rest of Madison’s photos are on the trail, where she said they were treated to such gorgeous views that day. Lucky us, that she shared the scenery, especially for those of us that don’t get out on snowmobiles ourselves and wouldn’t get the chance to enjoy this beauty.
Visit Keweenaw shares their latest Crossing Place video: “Pack Leader, Keweenaw Champion - Blizzard T. Husky”. The lead-in says: “They say the cold builds character. In the Keweenaw, it builds community. This short documentary follows Blizzard T. Husky - Michigan Tech’s beloved mascot and unofficial ambassador of the Copper Country - from the roar of MacInnes Student Ice Arena to school events and community gatherings across the region. Equal parts college hockey hype, local pride, and alumni nostalgia, it captures what it means to be a Husky whether you are a student, a lifelong local, a visitor discovering the Keweenaw for the first time, or an MTU alum still wearing black and gold. Blizzard belongs to all of it - the fans, the town, the winters, the traditions - because here, everyone is part of the pack.” Everybody loves Blizzard!

I love the icy curtains one. So pretty. And of
course it's wonderful to see blue skies to offset
all the white and gray. Very nice.

The icy curtains were just southwest of Big Bay on the snowmobile
trail heading to Ishpeming.
