Taana Blom has one of the best views from her front yard... the Keweenaw Waterway and the Lighthouse at the end of the pier across the way. When she snapped today’s photos, she commented that it was just a pretty day out there. Her one wish though, would be to get an epic freeze with no snow, so she could skate the canal. Even though there is ice forming there, as you can see in her photos, Taana mentioned that the day before she took these shots, it was all open water. So a good hard freeze would be needed to make the ice thick enough for skating on.

Regarding the great video...
So much Green and so much White with an all too brief interlude of Yellows, Oranges and Reds that get recorded for extended enjoyment. (I recently read the "ellipse" is a Boomer thing now!)

After a bit of research, I discovered the island in Taana's first 2 photos is called "Old Ship Island". I wonder why?
