The weather forecast for last weekend was a wind and snow advisory, so the freighters were taking shelter in safe harbors in anticipation of rough weather on Lake Superior. Jeff Dennis took a drive north of L’Anse, just off the Pequaming Road and captured a few shots of the Stewart J. Cort, sheltering there for the coming storm on the Big Lake. His daughter Rose and Fritz went along for the drive, too and got in on a couple photos. This time of year, Fritz is probably relieved when it’s a vehicle ride and not a kayak adventure.
We get a look at what Tim Connor considers an Epic Winter Day exploring Michigan’s Upper Peninsula looks like. He says it’s a film about a Winter day spent exploring the U.P.’s rugged terrain and Lake Superior. He grew up in the U.P. and wanted to create a short film highlighting how wild and rugged Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is.

I love these! I love freighters, too. And what could be better than throwing Fritz in there? Very nice.

Very c-c—cool set! And it’s Fritz by a nose. The video was nice, hopefully everyone who is able can get a chance to enjoy the activities.

Hi Nice to see Fritz when he's not in a kayak.
Donna, I like your quote. It kind of ties in with the part of the video where the narrator says that people stopped to see if he needed help. That's a type of light.

That also brings to mind the one time I was riding the Wing and I stopped for a rest at South Branch Stutts Creek just south of Shingleton. And two gentlemen stopped and asked if I was okay and if I needed any help. That was my experience with UP courtesy
