The birds are busy and active in Munising at Kevin Dunham’s feeders and thankfully, he’s busy clicking the shutter, capturing them in all their beauty. Today’s array includes a male Cardinal, so bright and beautiful, adding color to the drab, grayness of late fall. Just so handsome and attractive.
Then there’s the Chickadees, one of my favorite bird visitors to the feeders. They’re friendly and will land in your hand if you have the patience to stand still with seeds. These little feathered friends stay around in all seasons and in the winter they have the ability to lower their body temperature to conserve energy on cold winter nights. I love watching them flit back and forth to our feeders and hearing their chick-a-dee-dee-dee song always makes me smile.
Since bird-watching brings a smile, here’s a video from Musical Pearls to keep that smile going, maybe even make you chuckle out loud. It’s a selection of funny animal photos from entries in the Comedy Wildlife Awards.
If you’re looking for some events to attend in the area, check out the following link from Visit Keweenaw, with things happening the last couple days of November and for the month of December, too on their: Events Calendar

Hi
Quite the close-ups. I like the photo of the
chickadee with the seed. And I agree that chickadees
are cool little birds.
