We embark on this week with a perfect start to a beautiful day, thanks to Bob Fleury, over at 906 Superiorland Sunrises. He not only captured the sun coming UP in the Marquette area, but he added a Yooperlite rock to the scene, somehow illuminating it in the early morning light. Then he snapped the sunrise with an artistic flair of fall leaves framing the scene and finally the sunrise in all its glory, with the cloudy skies brightening UP. What a great way to start the day and the week here on the Pasty Cam.
We’re joining Nick and Marklyn from MI Playground once again. This time for a visit to Whitefish Bay. The lead-in says: “Nick and Marklyn visit the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum ahead of the 50th anniversary of the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. First visiting as a kid on a school trip, Nick finds the experience especially meaningful. From Lake Superior’s shores to Sault Ste. Marie, the journey reflects on the Great Lakes’ maritime past, present, and future.”
Just a reminder that GivingTuesday is happening now and is highlighting a way to amplify your donations to local non-profits. All your donations stay here locally, too. Copper Shores says this about GivingTuesday: “Held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, GivingTuesday has grown to be the single largest day of fundraising for charities and organizations throughout the nation. Serving as a kick-off to the holiday giving season, and a day of radical generosity, individuals can give back to the community and donate to the organizations that mean the most to them.”
Donations for GivingTuesday can be given up to December 2nd. To learn more about GivingTuesday and to make a donation, click on this link: Copper Shores GivingTuesday

Great pictures with 4 different compositions. I have to go with #2. Although if The Lake had been more cooperative by being calm, #1 could have had a more direct beam of morning sunlight reflecting off The Lake aimed directly at the Yooperlight stone. I agree Mary, I think that's what Bob was going after but The Lake and Sun were just not fully cooperating.
I just discovered something interesting about the Pasty message system. I tried putting a second space after the end of each sentence and they were stripped out.

Beautiful pics and I know that spot quite well. Wish I was there right now, enjoying a #16 sub from Togo's and just enjoying the beauty!!

Ahh Togo's
I remember them well, a large pepper steak sandwich. We'd order from the dorm, VERY late at night.
I wonder when they closed in Houghton?
