When Stacey Flood was snapping these photos of Lake Superior, out at Keystone Bay, she mentioned that it was an awesome adventure on an epic day. Her pictures tell the same story. When you venture to the shores of Lake Superior, you are never quite sure how you’ll find her, what mood she will be in, but no matter what the Big Lake is doing when you get there, she is always worth the trip. On this day, Stacey found Superior waving and splashing, just enough to create the beauty within the energy of her waters.
We head to Marquette, with Shannon over at 906 Images for a look at a moody Lake Superior in Marquette at the Blackrocks. She was not quite angry yet, but just splashing around there this day, too. Check out those clouds in the background... they look like something is brewing back there.

I love all of these! How can you go wrong with pictures like these? I think my favorite is the 2nd one, but I love the blue skies above all of them.

Glorious pictures!
I have a friend that lives next to Lake Superior in the Keweenaw. She said "When the lake gets wild, it is so loud, you can't sleep"...hearing that video sure makes that make sense!

Very nice set of pics and video. I will always like the Keystone pic because of the memories there. Just wondering what she drove out there to get there? It can be a fun ride, this time of year, I think I'd prefer the warmth of a truck vs an ATV, LOL. The waves were brewing at the "Black Rocks", they make the rocks look small, and they are anything but small. Jealous, would like to be in both spots right now and enjoying the beauty of it all!!!

Hi Donna, I like hearing the roar of the waves and the wind through the pines, though it's true my bedroom is in the back of the cabin.
Did anyone else notice the people walking on the rock in the Blackrocks video?

Kathryn, I noticed the people walking there. A little too daring for me. I saw something on social media about a woman getting washed into Lake Superior off of the breakwall in Grand Marais, MN. A wave washed right over them. She did get rescued.
