Today is Fall Rainbow day here on the Pasty Cam. We have a variety of recent rainbows from a variety of different photographers around the Copper Country. Starting with an absolute beauty from Karen Anderson Ham, who said, “If you want the rainbow...you need to put up with the rain!” That’s good advice for life, too.

There’s just something about a rainbow that lightens the day and makes everything brighter. The remaining rainbows are all quite pretty and come to us from:
Jean Dessellier in Traprock Valley
Barbara Bouwkamp in Laurium
Emma (Debbie Jarve’s) granddaughter, in Calumet
Frank Ozanich in Kearsarge

Just for good measure, I thought I’d share the photo that Donna MacIntosh captured from the MTU Bridgecam on a sunny morning with the Ranger III going under the Portage Lake Lift Bridge.

We wrap today up with a look at MI Playground’s 8 Specific Recommendations for Fall in Sault Ste. Marie. Their lead-in says: “Here are eight very specific recommendations I have for anyone visiting Sault Ste. Marie in the fall. This season brings a mix of changing colors, ships passing by, and plenty of chances to get outside and enjoy the crisp air. We have put together a list that will round out any trip to the Soo and help enhance the appreciation for Michigan’s oldest city.”

Rainbows are always so uplifting. Thanks to all who
shared them. And that Ranger picture is awesome.
We've been held up a few times this year while it
was going under the bridge. As you get older,
there's seldom a big hurry to get anywhere so just
enjoy the view. And we did.

I love every one of these rainbow pics but the first one is simply spectacular. Makes me miss the Pasty Cam Calendar that I wish would return for all of us to enjoy.

WOW....stunning pictures today, and Karen, simply
SPECTACULAR~ WOW! All rainbows are double
rainbows....whether we see them or not.

They have closed the Island...or are closing it
down for the season. And....(from the internet..it
was on Kew Reporter)

Rock Harbor Lodge has donated the remaining
ingredients from the restaurant to Meals on Wheels
for at least the past four years. Meals Program
Director Kathleen Harter says the high-quality
ingredients make a huge difference for seniors.

Beautiful pics and a great video filled with ideas
from Nick at, "MI Playground's". He sure does a
great job showing everyone how beautiful Northern
MI is and some great activities as well. I just
wish I had his energy!!

I don't mean to be MIA lately, just plenty of
yearly health exams in October and it's been
pretty crazy. I do have more coming now in
November on my feet & legs that I need to get
taken care of, so... our "guy's trip" will have to
wait until December or January. Hope everyone is
doing well and getting ready for the Holidays. Vic
has Whitaker all set for Halloween, he'll be
wearing a, Detroit Lions, #14 Amon-Ra St. Brown
jersey. Every time she puts it on him, he looks at
me like, c'mon dad make her stop!! lol if I knew
how to upload a photo, I'd show you, maybe I can
ask Mary to update my profile with that pic, when
she's not too busy-HAHAHA, yeah right, Mary
deserves a great big ol raise and I think we'd all
agree!
Any sign of SNOW UP DER YET!!?? You can't hit me
Deb, I'm too far away lol. How's Ron doing with
that shoulder repair now?
Lastly, any updates on JBuck, haven't heard from
her lately?
Have a great weekend coming U.P. Pasty Pals!!

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Thursday, October 23, 2025 - 09:23 pm:

Hey Chuck, Ron's doing well thank you. Judy said it
was snowing in Laurium today, but we had rain/sun
off and on all day. We've gotten nearly 2" of rain
since Monday. Colors are still decent. Hope to hear
good reports from all of your appointments. Sorry
your man trip is put off.
I've thought about jbuck also. Hope all's well with
her.
