Kevin Dunham always seems to have an abundance of birds that visit his feeders in Munising. It’s fun to check out who’s visiting as the weeks go by. This week he had some feisty Bluejays who look to be squabbling over the peanuts Kevin puts out for them to enjoy. Then one of them makes off like a bandit stealing the crown jewels, only in this case it’s an ordinary peanut, which is actually quite a prize for this feathered friend.
Then he captured a female Cardinal with something in its beak and then looking like she’s squawking about something going on at the feeders or perhaps she’s singing a tune. The bottom photo is Michigan’s State Bird, the Robin. My husband noted that he hasn’t seen any Robins around our place in a while now. I wonder if they’re already migrating for the winter and they’ve been hanging out in Munising for a time.
Visit Keweenaw had a video earlier with a Keweenaw Fall Color Report, featuring the Covered Road, Lake Medora, Hunter’s Point and Brockway Mountain Drive. That was a week ago, so things have change again by now, but it’s still great to see what it was, too.

I knew this was Kevin. What gorgeous shots. He gets the best variety of birds where he lives and the pictures are always out of this world amazing.

Great set! The timing of the first two was perfect showing the wing span like that. And a good video too! Not much color on October 7th, I wonder what it looks like now? And I couldn’t get enough of Brockway Mountain Drive, I didn’t want it to end. Many thanks to the contributors!!!
