We’re back on the rails with Nancy Haun in the L’Anse area checking out the colors as the Canadian National goes along their way. Her first shot was snapped around the Spurr River area. Nancy was disappointed she didn’t get the river in the shot also, but said it was too dangerous to do so. Next photo was at Tama Siding, which is near Herman, with a bit of color as they’re passing by.
The bottom two photos were taken on foggy mornings recently. The first one on the L’Anse Hill, the second one, Nancy said the Canadian National was running lite in Herman. I love how you can see the lights of the CN slicing through the fog in the bottom photo. That would make a nice canvas for a rail fan’s wall.
Nancy’s video was also recorded on one of those foggy mornings. That’s the Iron Bridge over Daults Creek on the L’Anse Hill. Make sure you have your volume turned up to hear the babbling brook talking away, too.

Nice set, but I think that someone should tell the conductor in the fourth pic to put on his low beams so he won’t blind drivers in oncoming cars. And nice relaxing vid, but were is the train?

I love this set. Trains are so cool. Nancy, you're so lucky. In the fog is my favorite.

I love trains, coming through the fog is spectacular. It ‘s to bad they moved the train out of the Copper Country.

Great pics and video Nancy. What you say we jump on one of those box cars and ride that train just to see how far it goes? lol Then we could "thumb a diesel down" and hitchhike back to Lanse,or, we could "catch a southbound and ride it all the way to Georgia until the train runs out of track" MTB, what an adventure that would be! I'll bet you've even thought about that before as much as your fascination with trains. lol I'm joking but as much as I have (and the others) have seen your great pics of these trains, I have often wondered how far it would go!:=))

Also, the second pic with the countryside and color in the background, is suitable for framing!!

“ This old airport's got me down It's no earthly good to me'Cause I'm stuck here on the ground As cold and drunk as I can be You can't jump a jet plane Like you can a freight train So, I'd best be on the way In the early morning rain” (Gordon Lightfoot)
